Responsibilities

  • pickup 50-100 lbs if necessary
  • retrieve material
  • run errands for maintaining clear field operations
  • maintain and clean vehicle regularly
  • deliver material to foreman and field operators
  • pickup permits, drawings, paperwork, etc.

Requirements

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our team. This career position involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in accordance with applicable codes, safety standards, and project specifications. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, works well independently and with a team, and is committed to completing projects safely, efficiently, and professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, equipment, and control systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, schematics, and project specifications.
  • Perform electrical work in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local regulations, and company safety standards.
  • Diagnose electrical issues and determine appropriate repairs or solutions.
  • Install conduit, panels, breakers, switches, lighting, and related electrical components.
  • Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, project managers, apprentices, and other trades.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to apprentices when required.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work, materials used, and identified issues.
  • Keep tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas clean and organized.
  • Follow all jobsite safety procedures and promptly report hazards or incidents.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, contractors, and inspectors.

Requirements

  • Current Journeyman Electrician license valid in the applicable state or jurisdiction.
  • Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code and applicable local electrical codes.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and a reliable means of transportation.
  • Ability to use electrical testing equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely.
  • Ability to work from ladders, lifts, and scaffolding and in confined or elevated spaces when necessary.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment commonly required for electrical work.
  • Willingness to follow safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment.
  • Dependable attendance, strong attention to detail, and professional communication skills.
  • Ability to pass any job-related background screening, driving-record review, or drug screening required by the company or project.

Preferred experience

  • Three or more years of experience working as a licensed Journeyman Electrician.
  • Experience with commercial, industrial, or residential electrical projects.
  • Experience with new construction, renovations, service work, and preventive maintenance.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical systems, equipment, motors, or controls.
  • Experience leading small crews or mentoring electrical apprentices.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • CPR/First Aid, lift-operation, arc-flash, or other relevant safety certifications.
  • Familiarity with project documentation, digital work orders, and construction management applications.
